In the forward of his book “Fragrance Sweetness and Power”, the Rev. J. M. Hames wrote the following.
In sending forth this little book we do so with a burning desire to stir up God’s people, to a life of deeper devotion, and help them to find their way to the upper room.

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I wish to welcome you to this site.
Why BeYeHoly.org
Simply put, because there is a need for a resource in which individuals can find straight answers on the directives and principles of Biblical Holiness.
Holiness is a lifestyle. It is not a denomination. It is not a set of dos and don’ts. It is a lifestyle – one that is pleasing to God.
By directives we mean the clearly defined “dos and don’ts” we find in the scripture. It’s amazing to me how many people want to argue with black and white.
By principles, we are looking at a fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a belief or behavior or for a chain of reasoning.
With this in mind, I need to warn you that I reference many times to Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
It is my observation that many today are seeking answers about the teachings of Holiness, yet there is a lack of places to find them.
What is holiness?
The believer being progressively transformed by the Lord into His likeness”

Jesus Christ was the walking, breathing, the human form of perfected holiness. He is our example. we are to look more and more like Him the more we mature.
Notice that in all the scripture – there is only one thing about God that is proclaimed by the angels around His throne – God’s Holiness.
Isa 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
You and I are called to be be Holy just like God. This is the holiness Christians must pursue; the holiness of God.
Holiness is Separation From The World
This separation needs to be grounded in a rock-solid determination to live according to the biblical commandments and the leading of the Spirit of God.
When we live in true holiness, we will find that from within us flows fountains of inner peace, joy and hope.
We will see a radical difference made by the love of Christ, both in deed and truth. This is the holiness for which men and women will give their life to serve God. This is the holiness that turns our communities, our country, and even the world upside down.
BeYeHoly.org wants to put forth the message of Holiness in a manner that is clear so as to help those seeking that closer walk with God. We want the Church to have a revival of Christ-like holiness.
Holiness is all about our relationship with God. It entails separation from the world and separation unto God.
I agree with the following statements that you will find on the web:
- Authentic holiness will never be constrained to “my four and no more”,
- It will never be contained in four walls of a church house.
- It is not self-focused, it cannot be.
However, Holiness entails us – you and I – putting on the characteristics of God.
Within this website, we want to look at the truths found within the Word of God. What’s more, we want to be like the Bereans, who received what they heard with gladness, and studied whether it was so.
(Acts 17:11 -13). These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. 12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few. 13 But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.
There have been those like the Jews of Thessalonica, that try and stir up the people. They are even present today.
